Dream Weaver – Roxanne Evans Stout

Two day workshop
Friday Feb 28, 2020
Saturday Feb 29, 2020
9:30 to 4:00 each day
Cost: $225.00

Please join Roxanne Evans Stout and Ashland Artworks for Dream Weaver, a mixed media art workshop that is sure to get your creative juices flowing! We will take over part of the Thrown Stone Gallery at Ashland Artworks, which overlooks Ashland Creek. A beautiful setting sure to stimulate our imagination as we create an artist book that is inspired by our hopes and dreams for the New Year.

We will begin this two day workshop with a long piece of watercolor paper that we will fill with texture, paint, marks and collage. Next we will each fold our book, accordion style and create our “pages” that will give us smaller surfaces to tell our stories in collage. Finally, our books will come to life as we will embellish our pages with mark making, stitching and found objects. You will go home with a unique and beautiful book that you will treasure forever!

The cost of this workshop includes most of the supplies, but please feel free to bring your favorite art tools, paints and brushes, and a bag of fabric and paper scraps for collaging. Coffee and tea and afternoon snacks will be available. We will have a special reception on Saturday right after class in the main gallery. Bring a sack lunch.
